If you ever wanted to give your input on automotive design, Nissan will give you the opportunity to vote. The Japanese automaker is working on constructing the Armada Mountain Patrol. Over the next three weeks, fans can vote on a few of the elements of the new truck by visiting the automaker’s social media pages.
The categories that are open to vote include exterior vinyl wrap, tire model, and roof-mounted tent. Voting will continue through May 10 and the truck will debut at the 2019 Overland Expo WEST May 18-20 in Arizona. The Nissan Armada Mountain Patrol started from a stock 2018 Nissan Armada. Under the hood, it has a 5.6-liter V8 with 390 horsepower that goes to all four wheels through a seven-speed automatic transmission. Having seating for up to eight people and a towing capacity of 8,500 pounds, the 2018 Armada is a great base for such a project.
To transform the Armada from a traditional SUV to an overlanding machine, Nissan gave the SUV a makeover. However, all the details won’t be revealed until the SUV makes its debut at Overland Expo WEST. Then we will have the complete build list with all the off-road goodies added.
